Eddie Buick's Last Case

Detective writer, Frank Pennel, penned the famous, fictional sleuth, Eddie Buick, a notorious drug using 1970's gumshoe. Frank Pennel is an equally notorious drinker. When his family is killed in what is thought to be a random home invasion, Frank goes on a binge. Nearly getting himself killed, Frank is saved by a man who looks familiar. The man helps him find the killers. The man's name: Eddie Buick.
